Little Red Riding (no) Hood

January 12, 2013

I finally got my photo shoot done for my coat. Trying to get this photo shoot set up was like herding cats! The things I do for you guys, LOL!  Anyway, we’ve pretty much covered everything elsewhere, so I’ll keep it pretty brief.

I think the coat turns out cute, the instructions are hit and miss, and I don’t plan to make it again. Would I recommend it? Sure, if you are in need of an adorable, yet impractical lightweight coat. (Seriously, I have actual flannel, wool, and lining and it’s not the warmest coat, but would work good above freezing temps.) If you wear this in less than freezing temps, you are going to be cold, no doubt about it, but you are going to be cold and sexy. Which is what is really important here, right? ;-)

P.S. I kind of wish I’d have blurred out my ugly tennis shoes, but there’s no way I was going to climb around in the creek bed wearing heels!

It’s terrific! I wish we could see your lovely face too… And terrific photo location.

Thanks! I actually was thinking about leaving my face in there, but I had a goofy face expression, so I chickened out. First impressions and all that. ;-)

    Great coat :-)

Coat looks fantastic, and definitely not ‘heel’ wearing territory!

Thanks! And no, especially not since I had to climb down an embankment to get to there! ;-)

What’s the pattern – great photos too!

Yea pictures! I like the winter, dry forest background. Our winter forest here is waterlogged, that’s normal for around here.
It’s a stunning colour of red and an uber-feminine silhouette. Sure, it may not be super practical, but there are times in the year when you really need a knock out item of clothing and then you’ll have it! This over a little black dress would be terribly chic.

Really? I always figured it had to be more beautiful where you are in the winter than here. Here it always looks so….dead. Of course, prairie grass is only green for like 2 months before it gets hot and dry, but when spring comes, the amazing transformation definitely adds to the “wow” factor.
Thanks! This is pretty close to the perfect shade of red for me, just a bit dark, a bit more blue, and I like how it complements my skin and hair. And yes, I think it’s going to look fantastic over my LB Christmas Dress from a couple of years ago. ;-)

There is nothing like a red coat, it looks lovely on you. This may not be the warmest coat, but it is better to look good than to feel good, Right. 8-)

That colour is simply divine! Well one :)

The coat is gorgeous! I just love the color (perfect in your wintry backdrop), and the ultra-feminine shape.

We all suffer for beauty! Looks fantastic, cold or not! I love your photo location, too.

Funny you say that, because I always told myself I never would do that! LOL!

      Thanks!
